Entering cheats disables saving and Trophies / Achievements!
Which sucks and makes it all pointless.
Not your fault, OP, but this limitation by Rockstar is truly senseless and silly.

Don't worry, Mark. We appreciate Your effort in this - we're just disappointed in rockstar as not being able to save renders the whole thing useless.
But again - you're a good man.
Exactly.
the point I think Rockstar is making is, Get all Achievements and or trophies, THEN... Cheat to your hearts desire.. DUH! They just want people to get trophies or achievements.. Its that simple.. Wow, is it that hard to think why they did a savegame kill with cheats on Red Dead??
You obviously don't get the point too. If you get ALL the achievements/trophies, then what's the point of playing it AGAIN? Because you already know every story, got everything that the game offers. So there's really no fun in playing when you already have everything, and with the unable to save, are you going to play without stopping from point A to point Z without turning the system off? I bet you'll get bored 10 minutes into it. So all in all it's pointless to put cheats and no save game together, and I thought they're smart, guess they did not think it through.

Some people like the replay value and some people like their achievements to come at the cost of skill rather than mindless cheating.
