or I don't know...go to an actual doctor
Trust is a fragile thing. Once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Those we're closest to can betray us,and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves. It really is the simplest way to keep from getting burned.

Men don't go to the doctor unless it's cancer.
I sliced open my foot between my toes. I saw it needed stitches, so I super glued it closed. It healed just fine, not much of a scar at all.

I think I tore something in my knee the other day while playing basketball. It was a pretty direct hit right to the front of the knee and I heard something pop, but I stayed in the game and scored on the next possession.
That knee seems to bend back more than my other one now. I don't know if I should go to the doctor or not though, there wasn't much swelling when it happened.

And pirates just stuck a peg or a claw on when their limbs got cut off.
Some might say puns are my signature jokes.
Yeah I don't wanna just go up to the doctor to find out it's not life threatening and then feel like a jerk.
