Alright folks, I didn't see a topic like this up, but then again I didn't look very hard.

For you experienced players this may be a new spot you haven't checked, but for those of you who are less experienced look up the Fort Bannister and Fort Independence locations first.

From what I found on my version for the Xbox 360 (Not tested for PC but I'm assuming it's the same) around 14-18 SINGLE Alien power cell's lying around with one charge each at and around the Relay Tower KX-B8-11 and at the base of the small drop off southwest of it can be found. Good luck out there fellow Wastelanders, arm yourself with knowledge.

EDIT: It appears none can be found on the small cliff Northeast-East of the relay tower, only in front of it and down below.

Second Edit: It appears a couple more can also be found do south of the relay tower around the out cropping of rocks and near a cluster of tree's.

I just realized "Unidentified flying debris" random encounter that gets you the firelance so I'm looking around now with dogmeat.

I just picked it up off the ground myself, so yeah pretty confirmed.

EDIT: There scattered and extremely hard to find if you're not looking at night. I suggest taking Dogmeat with you.

Second edit: My initial post was way off, I've easily found 20 so far and there seems to be more. I really should have done a before and after but I didn't expect to stumble across this goldmine.

I'm pretty sure this is just firelance, but upon further investigating I found out this area has a higher probability then most to spawn this encounter so go searching around it if you don't have it already.

So what you're saying that there are three ammo stockpiles around, not including the Mothership. The Crashed Anomaly, the Firelance encounter, and the Relay Station?

It may have been the firelance random encounter, I haven't gotten the firelance yet and I know there is a chance it can happen there. I also know there's about a 2% better chance the firelance random encounter will happen at the relay station rather then at another area.

So I'm thinking it was just a firelance spawn.

Grab Dogmeat, have him search and see what he brings back after a few tries. I'm going to do the same around the area.

Alright, I picked up firelance so I'm pretty sure that was the case, but this is strange because I saw Alien power cell's more then 100 paces from the location of firelance.

My **** up guys, it was the fire lance, sorry about the hype.

To make up for my obvious screw up, here is a link of some location that people made the same mistake I did.

    Link

Most of these are just locations where the flamelance encounter happened to them. With the exception of the Fort Bannister ammo stash and the Fort Independence ammo stash, as well as the original crash site ammo stash, there is no other drops then on the DLC without the flamelance encounter happening. Anyone who says otherwise obviously is a tard who jumped the gun like me. If you're that desprete for ammo do the raider glitch.
