That is strange I never experienced that before. Usually tank fire does nothing when that option is on. The again I was playing the un-patched version of the game and using the first trainer released.
What version of the game are you playing?

Yep this has been happening to me for some time.
What I do is turn off unlimited health and then turn it right back on.
That seems to do the trick for me 85% of the time.

i've never died from tank fire, but i have died multiple times from my own panzershrek rocket launcher fire when i'm messing around. basically if i shoot the ground close enough to myself, i die.
