Q:When i purchased a ATI 5850/5870 I recived a coupon for a free full version of Dirt 2 on steam, so i go to download it and it didn't work why?

A:I don't know exactly why but after searching for a while i found a fix If you got to GCW (Game Copy World) and search for the v2 of no intro fix and install it replaces the ads at the beginning Intel, ego etc with 1kb files and gets rid of them when you start the game and voila! it works again!

Not sure what a no-intro fix has to do with a download of a game :/

For people who have purchased a 5850 &/or a 5870 (like me) recently have Got a coupon for the dirt 2 game free to download from steam. The problem is it doesn't work normally but once you install the no intro fix v2 it works, understand?

Yeah, I heard you the first time. Sounds like corrupted .bik files. A re-download would most likely do the trick after clearing all the local cache.

No it was just me there is other on the steam forums that had/have the same problem I never had a problem downloading or updating.
