I have Fawkes and Broken Steel, told Fawks to turn on the purrifier but there's an air lock somewhere and i cant find it, aperantly its next to the intercom, but when i press it, it doesn't work.

You might need to reload a past save. Sounds like a glitch.

The airlock isn't opening at all? You should just have to activate it.

Okay so the first few times the airlock didnt activate at all, then it worked but Fawkes doesn't move after he's in the airlock and we die, no broken steel, so i went ahead and did it my self even though my reds were already 950+. I now have Jericho, Clover, DogMeat, Star Paladin Cross, Fawkes and Charon following me at the same time, who's left?

There's Butch De'Loria and Sergeant RL-3. But it doesn't matter who you send in, the ending is always the same. You can even go in yourself, and the same thing happens.

Also, you have more than the game's scripted amount of followers. This could be causing glitches in the game, which is why it's not working.

I've got butch and I'm escorting a water caravan to Canterbury commons. Where Is the robot sold? I heard there was a caravan rest stop or something like that there

RL-3 is sold by a roving trader, usually around the Rob-Co facility.

Any other expantion followers? if not i have everyone now!
