What's the differene between the first trainer for the version 1.7 and 1.7 GFWL?

GFWL is Games For Windows Live, I believe.
If your game isn't running through Games for Windows Live, you don't need that trainer. However, if it is, then you'll need that trainer.

It's an important difference because GFWL has a component which runs in the game's memory, namely Xlive, which performs various integrity checks on the game's code. We have to implement certain bypasses on these Xlive-enabled titles for a trainer to work properly (and not cause a crash of the game).
Generally, if you can press the 'Home' key in-game and have the live window come down, then it's live-enabled, and you should choose a GFWL or Xlive labelled release. If not, then it's not Xlive-enabled, and you should use the non-GFWL trainer. But you should wait until the main menu until you hit the 'Home' key, as it doesn't always respond while the game is first loading.
