Hello !

I got a question : me and 4 of my friends got Borderlands
But the problem is that we can't join the same game at the same time ... one of us is every time excluded because of the fact that lobbies are limited to 4 players.

Yesterday I discovered two files (one in "my documents" and another where the game is located) with that line code : "MaxPlayer=4"

I tried to change the value of that parameter but it didn't allow us to play 5 on Borderlands ...

Anybody got a solution ??
Is there any other parameter to change ? 🤔
Should I wait for a mod (that will change MaxPlayer) ?

did it work over lan? when u changed it. try it over land and hamachi

I tried with Hamachi but we failed connect to each other using LAN lobies ...

We succeed doing it online (using gamespy accounts AND hamachi)
But online the code line "MaxPlayer" don't change anything ...

I hope it'll work on LAN with G-Arena

I'm betting that's meant to be reduced, not exceeded. That way people can limit their lobbies if they go public. Or to keep it restricted; in-case they'd wanna do something with only one person. The game's entire MP design is only meant for 4 people. I could be wrong, but I doubt we'll see more than that. Since it's designed around that and it probably won't support more.

I guess you're right because creating a LAN lobby didn't change Max Players even if I played by G ...

I hope 2K will add some features to allow us to create BIG lobbies (because the world is too big for 4 players only ^^)


Waiting for mods should be a great idea too !
I hope that godlike people will find a "breach" that I failed to find ^^
