ELITE
once you press enter the command you typed has been entered...if you typed it correctly it will work....you dont need to press tilde 2x and press enter to regain control...its automatic on the first enter right after you typed the command....

exact spelling is important, kinda like back in the days of DOS...

Hi all, I'm new to posting here. I collected the info here and formatted it a bit. I'm not trying to take any credit for this, hopefully it won't go over wrong:

Dragon Age Console Commands

My Work: All I did was pull the list together and format it from the thread at:

All the credit for the information contained in this doc goes to the posters in that thread, all I did was format it and edit it.
Along with that, I can't verify any of this works or won't break your game, use it at your own risk.

HOW TO ENABLE THE CONSOLE: Make shortcut to daorigins.exe, found in bin_ship, on your desktop. At the end of the target line add -enabledeveloperconsole. Dont forget the space.
The target line end should look like this:
"...\Dragon Age\bin_ship\daorigins.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole

TO OPEN THE CONSOLE, start the game from the shortcut and press the Tilde button ~` Note: The console may show letters, numbers, and special characters or it may be invisible. The command you type in will not show. Press enter after a command is entered to execute it. Press ~ again and then enter to turn off the console, alternatively you can type exit and enter

TO CHANGE THE KEY FOR THE CONSOLE open this file:
Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Setting/KeyBindings.ini
with a text editor, and find the line:
OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_Grave change "Grave" into O or some other unused key

KNOWN COMMANDS

Do not include the asterisk when typing commands, it is only there to denote where each command starts. Example *runscript addxp # should be typed:
runscript addxp 1000

*runscript addxp #.......................# = amount of experience to add
*runscript zz_money #....................# is composed of xxxyyzz digits xxx = gold amount, yy = silver amount, zz = copper amount, you must put 0's for placeholders if you only want to add the higher amount for example runscript zz_money 1000000 would give you 100 gold
*runscript zz_addparty .........Adds a party member by name, replace with a name from the NPC Number and Name List
*runscript zz_addapproval #....Add # approval amount to , replace with a name from the NPC Number and Name List, for example runscript zz_addapproval 1 100 adds 100 approval to

*runscript zz_dropparty..................Removes entire party
*runscript zz_pre_demo2..................Teleports player and party to Ostagar, may have other uses
*runscript zz_pre_strategy...............Teleports player and party to Duncan's fire in Ostagar, may have other uses

Each of these will reset all stats, attributes, talents, spells, levels, even inventory you might have. It does not appear to affect "quest" items, gold/silver/copper counts, or your other party members equipped items. No guarantees, though.

FUN COMMANDS

Commands that have really powerful effects

*runscript cheat....................Mega Defense: this gives a temporary effect (about 100+ seconds) of extreme defense. It says it is changing cleaverness, but it seems to not change that stat.

*runscript bowlingforferelden.......Darkspawn Bowling: now THIS is fun! It creates a Forcefield (sphere shaped) around you. Anything you run into is hit for major damage! Again, about 90-100 seconds long!
