Well this one I think applies more to OTD

Ok i have another problem. Im not that depressed anymore but my friend is having a hell of a time at the moment. Two of his friends commited suicide alot of them are fighting and people are giving him ****. He is atheist too. Any advice?

What does being an atheist have to do with it?

I cant cheer him up by trying to convince them they are happier where they are seeing as he doesnt belive in a heaven or hell....

It wouldn't matter, because in all Christian faiths suicides go to hell automatically.

Weh

I was always taught that in certain cases (extreme mental stress, etc.) that they'd go to purgatory or something. I was taught this by the most irish man in the world back in high school.

Catholics (the purgatory fund-raiser folks) believe that your life is the property of God and therefore suicide is a direct rejection of God.
