Idk about that because I have never played online with anyone cause no one is ever on

while outside the gathering hall press start and then go to options change the gathering hall selecting to Manual then go to the online gathering hall you'll get to choose the gathering hall from 1 to 20 ask the ones your playing with in which gathering hall they are and get into it you'll find them for sure

Maybe you-re not in the same wireless channel as them. Go to the PSP menu and select the INTERNET SETTINGS, change your channel to automatic or any of the channels the other players are in. Or maybe that's not the problem. As it was said, it could be you-re not in the same hall as them.
