Yes i too can confirm that both this and the gold edtion trainers no longer work for steam. Each time you activate a cheat and try to play or enter a menu it crashes the game back to the desktop. I have reported the trainer to be updated,hopefully i have done it right.
I have a feeling that both trainers do not work becasue of the Games for Windows Live data migration update fix that was released in 2017?

we have the game on steam.. it was upgraded automatically on steam to Resident Evil 5 GOLD edition. therefore our trainer here:

most likely works for your game if you have on STEAM. We no longer have any other versions of this game installed, only the Steam version which is GOLD

EDIT: also note, that it's likely that the DirectX 9 version is the trainer that will work, so make sure Direct X 9 is launching

I have tried the Gold edtion making sure it is the correct version and launching the trainer every way you can and it still crashes to the desktop when you use a cheat.@PWizard
