hmm, i'll have a look at that, maybe alter them with the setting of alms houses, since they have 500 cap for the homeless

As for the settings, they are ive changed em all to be 250, it does have a strange effect that your color, or the AI's color will affect islands nearby, so even if they dont have a coast building on an island they may still restrict you from building on it. To overcome this just nuke the building that is causing the problem, or turn down the influence to a less widespread value.

Nother value that is useful is the required building level, altering this means you can build things earlier since you wont need the prequistes, look for NeedsIntermediatelevel

to alter the max amount of residents, search for this:
    < MaxResidentCount >8< /MaxResidentCount > (without the spaces)
the one above is for peasants, just change it to find the ones for the other levels or just look for them.

    Ohh nice, thanks for that

I wonder if the min cap makes it so that as soon as the house upgrades it is filled with that many residents. Im gona try setting min to 400 and max to 500 see if it helps boost the pop faster

That worked very well, I loaded up my previous game, and my population bumped up to over 300k and still trickled up as it went between 400-500 people per house. Also once the cap is filled ascension rights still worked. I will test it with a fresh game next. Just make sure you have an unlimted resource trainer option enabled, since with a pop that large they will use up everything really fast.

Theres a lot that can be modified quite easily, i just wish i could modify the rate that quests arise, specifically the metropolis quests. Ive waited several hours now to complete a scenario, but ive only got 1/5 sultan quests done ; (

the crappy thing is, the AI doesn't have the resources cheat, so AI players have trouble keeping their population fed.
I already had a metropolis when the AI was in the citizen level, because of the many inhabitants

isnt that kind of the point? it wouldnt be called cheating if it didnt give you an advantage
