I am currently working my way through each to see who I prefer. So far The Marantha Confederacy appeals to me for the elephant cavalry and the fact they start alone with the Mugal empire. This lets you concentrate on one opponent for a while and gets your army rolling before you want to expand.

I am currently playing as the ottomans, the beginning was pretty hard and had lot to manage but kept me busy. Thanks to the trainers for extra help. Btw, I conquered Barbery States, Persia, entire India, Russia, Austria, Prussia, and Poland, and I pretty much have half of the world as the Ottomans and I border the French.

If money is your only problem, try learning how to use something like ArtMoney, or some other memory editor. Less sophisticated than a trainer, but just as effective.

I found playing the Ottomans a nightmare, mainly because I found most of their units (with the exception of the truely insane Organ Gun) to be somewhat inferior: that coupled with the fact that Persia, Russia and basically everyone in the Med. declares war on me within 2 or 3 turns.

Prussia/Germany where my heart belongs

I often find that the better countries are the countries that are on the edge of the map or continent e.g. russia is in the corner and united provinces has sea behind it, makes it easier to defend, but frave country would have to be....... Sweden.

I love using heaps of the mods avalible and my fav factions are as follows in order!

1:Huron Faction
2:British Faction
3:Pirates Ftw!

Im working on Britain right now and might move on to either Spain or Russia next
