Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 2 Message Board  

First of all, of course I tried out what is suggested on the help pages. With that out of the way, here is my strange problem I only have with the DoW 2 trainer:

The game runs fine on my 8600GT card with the newest drivers available. As soon as I hit F1 to start the trainer the game starts to stutter in a campaign mission, with strange artifacts flickering on the screen. This happens even before I chose one of the trainer options. After a few seconds the screen turns black, then resets itself, and the game goes on, but stuttering like hell, making it totally unplayable. Sometimes large portions of or the whole screen turns into artifacts. Alt-Tabbing out shows a warning sign in my systray, indicating a problem with my graphics card/driver.

I tried to change the resolution and other stuff, unplugging the internet connection, disabling Kaspersky, and so on - nothing helped, obviously. I wonder in what way the trainer interferes with my GPU...

Wow - that is super bizarre.

Is your game updated to 1.3.2 and are you running the 1.3.1 trainer?

The game updates itself to the latest version via Steam, and the trainer is version 1.3.1. If you think it might help I could try to grab a screenshot or short video with my cell phone to show you the strange effects. I doubt that Fraps works because of all the graphic mess I get.
