Is anyone else having a problem with the guitar not being able to put it in your backpack. Or is the game missing a guitar you can carry around?

If I let my sim play it, he'll automatically end up putting in his backpack when he's done. Maybe in the trunk of his sportscar, which is also in his pocket.

I'm still having a problem trying to decipher what they mean by 'playing for 10 venues' in order to become a guitar star. I played for tips in every public place, but they didn't count.

aye , I'm also having the problem trying to figure out how to get that completed. "playing in 10 venues" thing.

Was just about to start playing in every public place my self but decided to search the web first. im glad i did

Maybe you can throw your own parties and perform there to get it?

and to get the guitar in the backpack.
If you buy a guitar and place it in your house.
Then press "i" on your keyboard to open your sims inventory.
then you can just drag the guitar from your house into your inventory.
I have one guitar at home and one in the backpack for when i play around town.

Thanks on replies, Speedio i did what you said and i finally got it working thx for the steps on how to do it i thought it you just clicked on it it would show an option to put it in your backpack.

"play in 10 venues" thing completed

You can just drag the guitar into your backpack

just drag it to your inventory while your sim is active. it will give you the play option while dragging but it will still make it to your inventory.
