I've been trying to find the rare Prometheus monster in Lavafender for a guild quest, but can't find it.

Followed the wikia instructions(lastremnant.wikia.com/wiki/Prometheus) and tried 20 times and no luck. Is it in the right place?

Yep, it's there. I found it at the exact place.
Just need more luck

It took me forever too but I finally found it. If you're having no luck, go out and do something else for a while before coming back.

Yeah finally after 50 times. Now i have to find some spirit lords in the great sand sea.

I found it easier to look for spirit lords in the Vale of the Gods while hunting for Yamamai (Sword of Three Realms task 18; need to pass the meeting event in Nagapur first).

I found the spirit lords pretty easily, they show up in the first small section of the sand sea roughly 1/3 of the time.
