    Yes, it loses its Flying type.

    In other words, Electric, Ice and Rock attacks won't hurt as much, however Grass, Bug and Fighting will hurt more and Ground will hit a Pokemon whom just used Roost, until the end of the turn.

    So a Staraptor that knows Roost is not a good pokemon to take against Ground types?
