I use the Xbox 360 controller for Windows. Just go out and buy any WIRED 360 controller, they're around $30, plug it in. It won't recognise it, but all you have to do is download the drivers from Microsoft Accessories and its good to go.

Eh... I didn't know that.
But Vista's still unstable on most systems, so I just go with XP SP3. Reliable as always, Vista SP1 crashed my system more times in a day than I eat when I installed it.
