Purity can be gained easiest by eating pure food, usually produce like Tofu and Carrots and Peanuts and Cheese etc.
You can also commit pure acts such as donating to the temple of light, giving money to beggars, rescuing slaves, giving gifts (the better the gift, the higher the purity). Just be a good person in general and your purity should go up.
Oh and to add to my previous post, one more 5 star house is the Temple Of The Light, you can purchase it after the temple is upgraded. (adds goodness/purity as well)
