Maybe I'm just getting tired, but..........I keep getting killed by the sweeping arms that go around the asteroid every so many seconds while I try to plant the beacon.......help please!

Get in the corner where the arms come together. When they start moving away, use stasis to slow them down. Then run to the outside of the ship on the asteroid and plant the beacon on that side where the arms do not go.
