that place is south from minefiled, its east from agatha's house, west of weath armory and north of bethesda ruins.

the dog should be there fighting some raiders.

is there a code to keep the pet alive? 🤔

To set dogmeat as an essential npc just put this in the console:
setessential 6a772 1

So by entering this code Dogmeat will be rendered as essential character forever? (or at least in the saved game)

unless theres a code to make him unessential (Which there most likely is ) yes

Well at least i can say it's persistent through restart and reloading my game. If it affects all your saves i have no idea.

So now he will only go unconscious when he would normally die, no need to watch over him anymore just wait a bit for him to wake up after the fight before you continue xD

Making him unessential is just changing the "1" at the end to a "0" most likely.

i lost my dogmeat... told him to wait at my house in megaton before i went on a mission i didnt want him dying on (before i knew i could make him essential) and when i went back to my house he was gone.....any idea where he could be?

I am glad dogmeat is back, i jumped off my computer chair when I herd geoff keighley from game trailers tv say this.
