Why did the goofs who wrote this game make it an online only game? Plus you can't even play until you sign up for 30 free days of play with their server and to do this you have to have a credit card. I no longer have credit cards but I hate online play and never play there anyway. This would be a great game if Eidos or whoever would come out with a follow up single player Conan game, or add a patch for making the current game both singe and online. I only bought it because I thought it had a single and multi player mode and am disappointed to find out it does not. What I wonder for the onlines is, after the 30 day free time expires will they be able to find a free server anywhere or have to continue to pay to play. I hope this won't start a trend of such games. If I have to pay to play or get online to do so I will sell my computer and get out of the business altogether.

I signed up right away without the 30 free days. I am bummed though that it's online. However I can't really relate the game to any of the movies. Maybe the comics but I haven't digged that deep yet. To top it off I thought you were conan in the game. Nooooooooooot!

GCaius10, I am also disappointed the Eidos decided to make ACHA an on-line game only! I have never had or will ever have any desired to play on-line. Since I am well aware of my preference, I take time to read any catch you “fine print” conditions. Regretfully I did not equate “30 days of freeplay included” to an on-line game only. I still have the game wrap and box how it was shipped from the company and that exactly how is going to stay. I plan to exchange ACHA for a different game or just simply give it away. For anyone reading this and enjoys playing on-line . . . Live long and prosper!

To the OP and Drakomako, you guys REALLY need to start paying closer attention to the games you buy, regardless of what offers they use to get you to look at it.
On the front of the box is the "30 days of free play included. See back of box for details". Then when you look at the back of the box, which it TOLD you to do on the free offer, it says, and I quote (looking at the retail box as I type)
"30 days of free* play included. *Internet connection required. This game can only be played online. Requires approved electronic payment or time card. Internet fees may apply."
I don't see HOW MUCH MORE SPECIFIC they could have gotten, to warn you that it was online only, and that you had to use a credit or time card to play. I mean really, dont blame the advertising, blame yourselves for not bothering to actually read what you were buying.
