Thanks for taking such good care of us, guys. CH doesn't screw around. The trainer is fantabulous for the time being. More than I had hoped for.

0-day patch updates in many cases, especially for the games you know are on everybody's mind. I love CH.

I can't seem to get the 1.1 trainer to work. I have tried everything in the troubleshooting guide. My Spore is patched ver. 1.1. I'm running Vista Home Premium on a laptop with the numberpad built in. I'm running the patch in Admin. mode. I've tried running the trainer first then the game, and vice versa. I don't have an F-Lock key. I've tried with both the NUM lock on and off.

When I get to the main menu, I press F1 and I hear "trainer activated". However none of the trainer options work. I'm in the space stage of the game.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

sounds like something blocking the injection of the trainer to the game. most likely antivirus, antispyware, etc. make sure you run the trainer in admin mode, not just the patch/game.

I've disabled my antivirus, and I'm running both the trainer and the game in admin mode. Still doesn't work.

sorry, not sure what to tell you. either something is blocking it or you have an incompatible version. we have tons of confirmations that the trainer works fine. you can always try the trainer customizer to try different keys.

Check your task manager (ctrl-alt-del) and make sure the problem isn't that the game or some part of it isn't still running. I've noticed several apps lately that lurk in memory when exited, instead of quitting properly. Having two instances of the game running will certainly screw up the trainer if it injects into the wrong instance.

I downloaded the trainer version 1.1 as I have the patched version of spore
I turned off virus and spyware protection and I put the exe file of the trainer in the game folder but it still does not work
I tried it on existing save games and then i tried to start a new game but still nothing
I get the activation message on the title screen and I hear the ON or Off message when I use the number keys but still nothing
I also find If the game logs in to the spore site the game crashes when i choose to load save game
so i have to not login to stop the game from crashing
but even then none of the cheats work
I am running on XP and have dual processors

Can you please advise why it might not be working

First, make sure the game runs properly without the trainer.

After the 1.1 patch, it's possible that old savegames are no longer compatible. Try making a new game. You may even have to delete your old savegames. ?

If you're using any variation of the space alert reduction mod, or any other mod created for the retail release version, remove those as well.

If the trainer activates at the galaxy (main menu) screen, but numpad cheats don't work, check your NUMLOCK key.
