Just finished, I'm underwhelmed.

Wow, what a great game all the way up until it gets really annoying...from about inside the mountain to the end.

The whole first part was well done, and I could actually play the game with only an occasional cheat. However, I was totally underwhelmed by the whole gaint spaceship battle, it was just more annoying than anything. I guess the fact that I had to have GOD mode on the entire time, otherwise I was re-loading every 10 seconds... ridiculous. I'm pretty good at shooters, but this one was just plain annoying at the end. Maybe it will be better when I play thru it again... and know what the heck I'm supposed to do, before I do it.

I looked thru the manual for at least 10 minutes looking for how to "lock" a target... it's not in there... but then magically at the exact right time when I happened to swing my gun to the right point on the screen, the gun started locking... reminds me of the old pixel hunt adventure games, where you just moved the cursor around til you found something that would highlight. Some pretty linear play... with not much fun or freedom for the whole last half, that is, the part where the aliens come into play. I felt neither compelled to rush forward, nor excited to finish... just relieved that it was finally over.

I have a simple question, has ANYONE finished this game, on any difficulty level, without using cheats?

Ive finished on the easyest setting without the cheats. i honestly think that the first part was worse, with the devs trying to show themselves off showing hipoly jungle with fotorealistic tanks and everything
the anti-gravity level in the ship was the greatest one, no ambitions, just calm, meditating style(except when your kicking aliens), it was funny how i sometimes lost my orientaton.

How did you survive on teh deck of the aircraft carrier... I was frozen about 1/2 the time, the rest of the time it seems that I was split between killing the little flying dudes and attacking the exoskeleton first then same with teh spaceship and alien flyers.

Without endless ammo cheat I don't see how it can be done. But then I fail to see alternate solutions sometimes.
