How come every time I run fast passed a solider...they chase me and try to kill me? I haven't done anything to them...

it depends, how many people have you assasinated and have you just assisanted somebody

guards are less friendly to you and will recognise you as the game goes on

Other than those I had to assassinate...like the solider near the beginning, and the soldiers who were attacking the fortress, I don't think I killed any before they started chasing me.

Only after that did I assassinate a few soldiers just to get the hang of it.

No...just recently started. Got demoted and now I have to kill these nine guys...but first I have to talk to someone else...can't remember his name.

It was on my way to meet this one guy when the soldiers started chasing me.

And I haven't saved any citizens yet...well...accept from the Templers I killed when they were attacking the temple.

it is because "running is suspicious" or some crap like that. the assassins blend into the crowd and running make you noticible. it is kind of dumb. so yeah, just slow down when near guards and then start running again once you have passed them.
Once you get the hang of it you'll do fine.
