I had to do it,start a club excusively about cars, cuz I'm bored with the Nijas,Pirates, and Zombies, except Rob Zombie,he's the only cool zombie. Dis club is for those of us that have a passion for cars. Dis is ze place to talk about real cars, cars in games, and toy cars. This way we can talk cars without getting into trouble, although I'll probably get severely punished for making this club, but hey,I'm bored enough to risk it all. Come on and join the Gearhead Club. Let's talk cars. Anything goes,so long as its about cars. No Nijis,Pirates, and Zombies allowed. Car talk ONLY.

I have a huge collection of die-cast metal cars in various sizes...at least 2000 of em...been collecting em for over 10 years. Back at my old house a stinking kid stold 25 of my cars. I put a curse on him. I hope his life is going horribly. Anyways,I have Tuners,Exotics,Muscles,pick-up trucks,SUVs,and Boogie Vans. I've invested thousands of dollars in my collection. A huge portion of them are limited editions and will someday be worth a fortune, but I wouldn't sell them for any price.

    Yeah, so?

I'm so in this club. Great idea, 2hot4u.

I haven't a car, seeing as I'm only 16, but my knowledge of them surpasses many. I can describe an engine, telling you how and what each component does, and I have this ability to assess and analyse a car's weaknesses and strengths, and form a strategy as to how to beat it. I can analyse telemetry, and I can learn from it. Most of this came from my dad, and I have an unbelievable amount of respect for him, and part of it came from my recent motorsports course (again, my dad had a role - he funded my education). Over here I advise adults about cars, telling them a whole range of info, from market values to car interiors. I'm your natural car fanatic. I'm also an avid karter, getting pretty close to the pace of professional karters.

I'm also a huge fan of Initial D. Call me crazy, call me neurotic, but some of my understanding of cars has developed from those very manga novels. And also I love reading and watching the battles, both on TV and the books.

Currently at home, we have possession of an Audi RS4, a Mercedes C55 AMG and a rather funky yellow Toyota FJ Cruiser. I like.

So I was reading the April issue of Car and Driver (I have a subscription) and I came across something to make you cringe:

    BAD TRIP
A ship carrying a load of BMW M3s and 1-Series listed severely during it's trip to the U.S., damaging more than 370 BMW cars. Many of them will be scrapped; others that suffered less damage will be repaired and sold.

That's some of the worst automotive news I've heard in a long time.

    Yeah.

But TBH I despise the C55. I believe that all sports cars should have a manual or sequential 'box, and the C55 is an affront to my belief. And I'm not sure whether or not this car was made by the French or something, because its reliability is unbelievably low (no offence to the French, it's just that French cars in general tend to be extremely unreliable). The electrics go haywire, too, because if you want to do one thing, like moving the seat forward, the car will do everything except that. When I tried to move the seat forward, the sat nav came on, the indicators started flashing, the headrest went up and eventually the seat moved backwards.

    Cheers, Mercedes. >_>

Honestly, I'm not really surprised. I've heard from every source possible that Mercedes' are not reliable at all. The problem is technology saturation. There's just so much of it that it's constantly malfunctioning or simply breaking down.

As far as the Automatic vs. Manual war. I'm in the middle. I don't know anything about UAE traffic but here it's horrible so I can't say I'd never buy an Automatic sports car. I have driven a manual BMW 3-Series and I can honestly say I've never had so much fun driving but the level of traffic here might just be too much to go to the trouble of a Manual. When I finish university I'm definitely buying a Manual Japanese sports car but I also plan on buying an Automatic sports car later into my career that would be better for the daily commute.
