wow, i just don't know what to say...
There's a reason drag racing has been ruled by american muscle cars. Up until about 10 years ago, you couldn't make sport compacts go that fast. The only reason they started drag racing them was because they finally could. Look when it happened, in the 90's when the japanese cars we're killing the american small car market. It was inevitable. The problem was there was nobody backing it, but supply and demand dictates how things go and people finally started demanding, and they were eventually supplied.
Fast forward to now and it is what it is. How can you expect the past generations of techno kids to understand carburated big blocks when such things never came in mommy's honda? If you tell the same kid he can hook-up his laptop to his new subaru and pull horsepower out of nowhere, which way do think he's gonna lean?
I hate to appologize because this is just the internet, but I'm sorry if my passion for cars has offended you. It's just your comments come across as almost being racist to me. You might as well have said that black people where meant play basketball and white people are supposed to play hockey.

You don't need to push it to extremes, davzilla. This is an international community, and opinions can and will be tolerated here. Just because one person of a community which consists of hundreds of thousands of members disagrees with your views does not necessarily mean you have to go on the defensive, as if this were a communist dictatorship.
You have valid points, and I personally am 100% behind you. While it is true that the tuners are gaining popularity rapidly, and that many muscle cars are now confined to car collectors' garages, I myself do not like it in the drag racing world. Drift, yes. Circuit racing, fine. Drag racing? Not so much.

The reason Economy cars have the market theses days is because Muscles aren't practicle these days and most people, especially the youngsters, can't afford them. With the economy being in the terrible shape its in,gas prices being so high, the cost of living being so high, not to mention noise laws, the Muscles are now collectors items, parked in the garages of the rich and well to do,but also seen in car shows around the world. Little wonder economy cars reign supreme this day and time,at least when it comes to daily driving, but in the hearts of those of us that are loyal fans of the Muscles,Muscles will always be king and will always dominate the drag strip.

Yup. Trust me, all of you will be blown away by just how extensive this is. If you see my Carbon FAQ, you'd think that was pretty deep. ProStreet will be at least twice as deep as the Carbon FAQ.
