Yeah well I won't include Dark Aeons and I'm writing a seperate one for fighting Sin. To avoid spoiler I won't include any bosses after Yunalesca.

If you'd allow me, I'd like to review those strats before you post the FAQ. I think I can be of help.

With all due respect, with what I saw from your posts, you seem to favor overleveling and bashing away rather than using strategy. I'd like to help a bit with the strategy part.

Since FFX can be beaten without ever touching the Sphere Grid, even when you disallow the usage of overdrive and summoning and customization as well (yes, all three restriction together), then a little strategy should be able to conquer anything in FFX.

Once again, I mean no offense, just want to be helpful.

I do use strategy however levelling up is useful and I'm curious as to how you can beat the game without the sphere grid. That would mean no gaining abilities and attributes staying low.

The FAQ is gonna be delayed since I need to re-buy FFX because my disk is faulty and I need to replay some battles to write down strategies and advice.

    You have my respect. really.

A lot of the people who haven't done an NSG game before just yell "It's impossible, you can't survive blah blah blah".

    However your curiosity demands respect.

Once I'm off work, I'll post the outlines of an NSGNS (No Sphere Grid, no Summoning) game, so you can have a general idea how they work.

    EDIT:

    ****SPOILERS AHEAD****

Basically, even if you can't upgrade your HP, and you can't learn any new abilities, you have enough starting HP and abilities to last through any boss and random encounter you need with the proper preparation.

Rikku's Use ability and Mix command gives access to almost every useful ability on the Sphere Grid bar Quick Hit.
Stamina Tonics/Tablets to double your Max HP.
    Lunar/Light/Star Curtains to grant Shell/Protect/Reflect
Smoke Bombs and Silence Grenades to disable your enemies
Poison Fangs for Poison, which is used against a fair share of bosses in NSGNS games (Mainly the Seymour fights -bar Omnis-)

SOS-Nul armor abilities are immensely useful against enemies and bosses that use elemental spells (*cough Seymour cough*).

Hyper Nul All and Ultra Null ALl mixes will grant you the effects of Cheer*5 and Focus*5. Cheer, aside from raising strength, also reduces any strength based damage by 1/15 each casting, caping at 5/15 (33%) after five castings. Focus does the same, but for magic based damage.

All those will allow you to make your way through the game in NSG stats and without the use of Summons.

Once you get a new Disc, I really really really urge you that you try to do an NSGNSNTQ game (No Sphere Grid, No Summoning, No Trio/Quartet of 9999). Taking off Aeons and Trio will disable the "cheap" ways out, which will force you to try and find alternative strats to make due. Of course, if you ask, I'll be here to give advice and tips.
I've done my fair share of challenges, I'm pretty sure you will find them much more enjoyable that a regular run.

Agreed, I've only done a NSG/NR/NNE (No Sphere Grid, No Running, No No Encounters) game attempting to use as few summons as I could (though because of how they get stronger they weren't much use in the end, I usually used Petrify Grenades/ Stone Breath against random encounters), it honestly is a better game like that.

IIRC to complete a NSG/NS/NC/NR/NNE/NO you need to beat the Greater Sphere (or what ever the Creation Sphere is) in order to get Auron's Phoenix armour to beat the final boss.

FFQueen, I could possibly help as well, as a third point of reference.

    NO...No. Nonono

    *headdesk*

    It's NOT Rammestein.

It's performed by Bill Muir from the Japanese band xtillidiex.

Yeah. You need to beat GreaterSphere. He's not hard. You just need to concentrate. Keep people hasted and throw phoenix downs when people die till his DOOM counter runs out.

P.S: How the does the quoting system work here? >_>

I know the strategy, Protect, Haste, Albehd potions too keep alive and doom will take 99 turns to finish it.
If beating it where faster I might try it (once I'm done with Disgaea and a few other games), however I'll probably get fairly annoyed getting a 1/14 chance result over that period of time, after a few tries.

    As for quoting:
