And there's no Covenant to unleash them... again and again. And the humans are smart enough as to not releasing them.

I reckon Bungie have now completely dropped the Master Chief Halo Universe and are going to start on the Halo Wars series - if the first one is good they'll probably make more.
BTW, when is it out?

Well for starters...Halo Wars isn't being made by Bungie (set for 2008) and as everyone knows...Halo Wars is an RTS which takes place before Halo CE.
So Bungie is going to be making something different...and exciting...just wait until it's announced...

Nah, just Ensemble...but Bungie is making sure they stay true to the Haloverse and stuff like that.

These are very good opinions. I'm impressed. One of you said earlier, "if not the flood or the covenant, what do we shoot?" Well, how about a new alien species? Or some crazed spartans that still survived. That would be interesting, now wouldn't it? They could do a number of new things that would still make the game good. But, I do agree with your guys opinions. My opinion is, I would like something new to kill. Maybe some new weapons, new vehicles... Something a little different, maybe. Oh, and I STILL have no idea who in the heck the Forerunners are! Do any of you know who they were or what they even looked like? I would like to know a little more about them, if you ask me.
