It does work with the no-DVD, though I would advise against using it. There is currently only the FLT one out there, which is done in a way so bad that I am amazed that it actually works. If you don't mind the no-DVD using a lot more memory than needed on your machine then by all means, but I'd recommend you stick with the disc for now.

thats a little stupid to say, any computer has dvd's or sometimes they just temporaly dont have it installed or they just download that game from internet, if thats what you're trying to say. And emule or another bitorrent client dont even take a GREAT ammount of ram. Timeshift isn't such a great game either, if you really want to make your pc feel like hell just try the new demo of CRYSIS
ANd yes i'm using a no-dvd version cuz its annoying to keep changing the dvd.

actually thats not entirely correct, i have friends in countries where a dvd-drive is not $15 and $15 is not even that little amount of cash, but even in the US i have platy of friends who have no car, no job, no bank account not to mention credit card , so all they could do is mail a money order and buy one on ebay, but that is a lot of effort compared to what people with better financial situation can do. so pretty much the EU is the only place where just about anyone can buy anything as you get such a fat unemployment/social help (compared to the rest on the world).

beside that only thing many of us use a DVD is reinstall windows once in a while, i use that think maybe once every 2 month for something, so if it would brake it would not be a priority to replace, in my case it would be a couple month till i find one on the fleemarket... and this actually happened last year i was 4 months with out a DVD

i have crysis both beta and demo, and true it runs really slow

in fact in dx9 i like the grafix of timeshift better then the one from crysis, just the problem is that timeshift is so damn dark where crysis is nice bright

i'm just sad that timeshift is not how the 2006 demo was , that game would have rocked, i still have the demo of that i like it that much

Siiix is right about computer without DVD player.
Some of my customers bought slim computers with no DVD player on it, not even floppy drives, everything is done with USB connections. If you want to install Windows, you must install it using an USB DVD player.
    It's an option.

But you can still play a game without having a DVD player plugged and without using a NoCD crack: use a maxi or mini-image. Nowadays they are common and the only thing you need is Daemon Tools and YASU.
I use them instead of the cracks, when a new patch comes, you can playing immediately without having to wait for a noCD crack.
