Think I finally got the the skills cheat to work with the first DX9 trainer on un-patched retail version. Current my 2 chars at lvl 4 each with bout 90+ skill points left to spend.

Note that the option 5 ONLY works on your first levelup. Soon as you get your levelup click 5 once (haven't tested on more then once) then 4 once or twice. Spent a attribute point and you will notice the skill points now at 101. Now spent your attribute points BUT you must leave at least 1 point un-spend otherwise it reset your skill points. After spending points into your skills tree complete some quests and when you exit it will save the skill points you have.

we'll have a closer look at the skills option when we do the trainer for patch 0. if we continue spending time switching things around on this first trainer then we'll never get the updated one out.

I wouldn't think so nckai as there are separate executables for multiplayer. Just use the single player ones for the fix. I'm anxious to know if it worked or not. Thanks!

Hi Chris, I've applied the NOCD from FLT on my SEA version and the trainer works fine. Currently, I don't think Patch 0 is available on SEA version yet.

thing i don't get is, i've tried a new character i just can't get skills points working. on first character i DID have skill points working, i think i hit it a few times, got 15 spare and because you can't use them all at level 2, only 3 or so, i had spare for a couple levels, then i ran out and i couldn't add more at all.

the guy above suggests it only works at the first level but, at least for me that didn't work on second character and i'm not sure why. i can't remember the exact order i did things on the first character.

the skills points, at least for me, are the most important part of the trainer as it seems lots of people want a trainer to be able to test out powers and their effectiveness so we don't waste soo damn long in multiplayer only to find a few powers useless.

After creating and modifying several characters, I've located a pattern to how and when the skill points cheat works.

I don't have an exact level when it happens, but there's a cutoff where you cannot add any more skill points. Before that point, you can add as many points as you want, but if you don't keep the number of leftover skillpoints down below a certain level your character is reset upon logging out.

Best case, as soon as you can, add roughly 185-195 skillpoints to a low level character, then use the xp cheat to get to a level above 30. Between the point per level you get during regular leveling and the added skillpoints, you should have well less than a hundred points left over, but enough to max out every skill, and still be saveable.

The key seems to be to have all the skillpoints above the cutoff point spent before leveling too much and logging out.

Thank you for your time and effort Bohrir. This game is very difficult to work with in regards to creating the trainer and the problems are multiplied with separate DX9 and DX10 versions and now a new patch with another patch due out soon. We're working hard to get the new trainers out and also address everyone's concerns with the skill points, etc. We ask that everyone bare with us a bit as we try and keep up with the current workload and complexities of this game.
