OK so I tried the trainer, but no luck.

I'm using the same (US) version 1.3.1416 (if I typed it wrong just know I mean the 1.3 version)

I used a new game, and pressed numpad 4 to try the infinite afterburn, and it didn't work.

No sound or anything.

I ran the game first, since running the trainer first made the game close.

Any ideas?

EDIT: I now notice that at the bottom of the trainer it says

DarkStarOne.exe Loading! (Though it seems as if, for a split second, it changes to something else, but goes back so fast I can't tell what it says.)

EDIT2: OK I now see that, after putting the trainer in the same folder, you have to run the game first. Otherwise the game won't even start, you will just get an error message (ie: this program needs to close, sorry for inconvenience, blah blah blah.)

To stop spamming edits, I just made a new post

After putting the trainer in the folder, and running the game first, it now says trainer ready, now to see if it worked.

Nope, still don't work

This time, I heard the "Cheat Activated" voice, but it didn't do it. Not the money cheat, afterburn, energy, or hull one.

Please someone who knows all this help me out

(Because I'm sure that, knowing my luck, it works fine for everyone else )

Are you using the no-cd fix? Disabled antivirus? Running as Administrator if on Vista (and compatibility mode if necessary)?

I don't have the no-cd fix, and I'm not sure I feel safe turning off my anti-virus.

Plus, if that were the case, wouldn't that mean the other trainers I use would not work?

And does turn off anti-virus mean turn off auto-protect?

Glad you got it working. Some antivirus apps actually block the injection of code that we use for the trainers. That's why I suggested it.
