As far as I can tell, just go to Mt. Gagazet and capture 10 of every underwater fiend. Go to the calm lands and you should get asked to fight an Original monster called Shinryu. This monster, when killed, will drop a Wings of Discovery. 2 if you Overkill it. Now to discuss how to kill it. This requires Titus to have mastered 98% of the sphere grid. Also, if you can, kill 3 species monsters in the arena, Tanket, Fenrir, and Hornet, to get Defence, Agility, and Accuracy spheres repsectively. Just summon an Aeon that breaks the damage limit and you'll get them easily.
This will be time consuming if you don't already have the Break HP limit for Tidus (see next paragraph), but the stragedy is basically the same, just you'll be healing much more often.
Note, this is the cheapest way to get wings to discovery, which you need 30 of to break the HP limit. However, you can also bribe Malboros (from the calm lands) with 570k to get 4-5 Wings to Discovery. This is how I got Titus' Break HP limit, but its costly.
My last note: I think that The best armor that you could create for everyone would be: Auto-Protect, Auto-Med, Auto-Pheonix, and Break HP limit. Depending if you Prefer to have lots of MP, you could switch Auto-Pheonix for Break MP limit.
