I was going to get Chimchar as my starter because I usually always pick the fire pokemon, but Piplups final evolution looks awesome and he's a pengiun! I think Turtwig is lame.

Yep, there are over 100 new pokemon and EVERY pokemon every created will be in this game, nearly 500. Also every pokemon has a shiny version of itself which is a very rare version of that pokemon, it's a different color. ANd you can go online and talk to people with the DS's built in mic and more.
