It's the Ancient City of Giruvegan, which is just a continuation of the game. Lots to fight in there. A good place to level up.

Yes, I beat it. Now I'm doing all the hunts and espers. I have to do everything. I like to get my money's worth. I still can't kill the esper in Hemme's Mine. A tough character. good luck

ya when i get there, all of the questions i have been asking are for my neighbor, how much longer is the game after the doors are opened

well, it depends on if you do all the hunts and sidequests. If you just follow the story straight through to the end, it isn't too much longer, you have like two more areas or something like that. I finished giruvegan a while ago but I have been going around do hunts and getting espers and stuff. It helps since you get the strahl and don't have to waste all you teleport stones
