Even when you don't leave a section (you know like when you leave it loads the next part). Can you kill all the zombies in one section making it totally clear, so you can just walk around?

I've wondered this myself, but I don't believe you can. I've cleared a section going in a line, then I turn around and there's a whole bunch of zombies there again!

when the time comes up at 7 or so the the cutscene comes up and all the zombies come to life again.

not really they just respawn just like GUNS! man I love the small chainsaw with the books of power

Yeah I believe that the game is set up so that the zombies will respawn in places that the camera isn't currently viewing, so you won't ever see zombies appearing out of nowhere.
