Less than a minute left in the match, HBK goes on the top rope and jumps, but Bret Hart catches him in the sharpshooter. After being in the sharpshooter for almost a minute, time runs out. WWF president at that time, the late great Gorilla Monsoon, ordered the match to continue under sudden death rules and less than two minutes.
