I can't get cheats work i have version 1.0 and I have gone all cheat sites trhough and I still can't get them work

Go to the data directory on kotor and look for swkotor.ini go on and straight under game options type EnableCheats=1 and go on the game press ~ and at the top left hand cornor a white type line should come up and look for cheats on websites
