Warhammer: Mark of Chaos Message Board  

Could some explain to me, a totally ignorant peasant, how to find the proper adresses in ArtMoney, and what to do, step by step, since i have no clue whatsoever.

I think this game has DMA so that makes it a lot harder to cheat

i tried with TSearch but no results

try float 4 bytes =), works for me

maybe i wasn't clear... i have NO idea whatsoever what 4 bytes means. so if it's not too hard,please explain to me what i have to do, step by step

I honestly recommend downloading CoSMOS shlepad. It has a very nice tutorial that explains all the search functions and actually shows you first hand how to do all the searching and modifying, and you can just stop when it gets beyond where you need to know (like address and pointers for example). Much easier to do that tutorial thing then posting a full tutorial on these forums I'd say.

Ok, first SAVE your game.

Then Alt+Tab out and start up ArtMoney.

Click on Select Process dropdown menu and choose Warhammer: Mark of Chaos.

Once done, click on the icon labelled "Search".

You will see a a few more dropdown menus.

They are: Search, Value, Type, Address Range

Each cheat has a different 'Type'

This is for Gold:
First while ingame, start the first mission, check your gold value. Let's say you just started. I believe it's 3500 if i'm not mistaken.

Alt+Tab out run ArtMoney, at the Select Process section, choose Warhammer Mark of Chaos

Click Search. You'll get a new window.

In the window,
For Search make sure it's Exact Value
For Value insert the present value of Gold (*3500)
For Type insert Float(Standard)
For Address Range make sure it's ALL

Now, click search.

Wait a while and you'll get plenty of memory addresses.

Now go back in game, kill some Marauders, and they will drop a gold chest of 150 gold. Pick it up. Now notice that your gold value has increased to 3650?

Alt+Tab out, click the icon "Filter"

Once more you get 3 options: Search, Value, Type

For Search make sure its Exact Value
For Value insert 3650
For Type make sure its Float(standard)

Click OK.

IF there are more than one address still, go back in game, pick up somemore gold, and repeat the Filter action mentioned above UNTIL you have ONE address left.

Double click on it and it will be transferred to the right hand table. You should see the gold value there example :

3650.00 <--- Right click on it and click Set Value
Set the value to whatever amount you want.

Here's a trickier one - how do i change skill points? i've tried doing the same, starting with 4 free points and cutting down to 3, 2 and 1, filtering every time, but i got smack. what i am doing wrong?
