Nonono the players need trainers heh. your doing a good job so why stop now?

I really do not see the need for a trainer.

1. Cheats are allready in the game
2. IE God mode.
3. There really are not enough items in this game
4. Or ways to make your charicter different then others.

The only thing i could see a trainer being good for is unlimited mana , and maybe giving you all skills. Other then that. A trainer really is not worth it.

God mode isn't enough. And I prefer a trainer, as do many others

The purpose of a trainer is to allow people to basically monkey ard in the game and do various funny or experiment with stuff that they otherwise won't be able to do in a normal playthru of the game.The in built cheats of the game may be adequate for aiding a player to play thru the game effortlessly, but seriously they are not adequate for those whu simply want to monkey ard and have a few laughs while playing thru the game.

So don't diss a trainer.Having a trainer is always better then having none.

Don't get me wrong... I love the trainers you guys create. The Company of Heroes and Warhammer Dark Crusade (amoung many others) are absolutely necessary and truly wonderful. I'm just saying that (1) Source-based games have plenty of cheat codes, so your trainer creating time would be better spent on games that DON'T have cheat codes, and (2) Steam-based games get updated A LOT so they would be breaking your trainers just about as fast as you could fix them!

So I say save your strengh, because I'll be counting on you for a trainer for the new Lord of the Rings RTS coming soon.

Make the trainer, we all know what a good trainer can do.
Just look what they did to Warhammerark Crusade.

I just know if you make one, you will suprise us all with interesting and fun options.

its true that anything and everything can be done with the source engine, as long as you know how to use the console, for those who dont know how to use it properly making a trainer is a perfect idea, so dont scrap it

Does anyone by chance remember the command to list all available commands in the console? I've been toying with trying to get some extra skill points to try different things out with my character, but to no avail. All I can get to work thus far is Godmode and that's not really any fun. I just want to tweak a bit, not take the challenge out of the game.
