I'm a hardcore Xbox gamer that'll soon be in the market for the new 360(you name it i've beaten it), i've heard some rumours about the system, some bad, some good....but one thing that's been bugging me is the fact that some of my Xbox games won't be compatable with the 360....why is this??? You'd think Microsoft could squeeze this into their pricey system, so i just wanted to know if the games i've got for Xbox will be compatable with the 360....could you guys help, thanks....here they are-

    1- NHL 2004
    2- Max Payne
3- Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
    4- Medal of Honor: Frontline
5- Medal of Honor: European Assault
6- Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
7- Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

And any other info about the system from those of you who have a 360 would be appreciated, thanks....and does it have a DVD player in it or not? 🤔

The 360 is only compatible with the games that where reasonably popular. I'm not sure about NHL but the others should be compatible.

    Link for more infomation.

Edit: For the list of all the games compatible with the 360 click here:Link.

You can choose one of three ways to get your origional games to be 'Backward Compatable.'

    A. Get your updates from XBox Live
    B. Get an already made CD from Microsoft (for free I think)
    C. Burn updates into a blank CD (that's what I did and it was really easy.)

There you go, that should answer any question you have.

Yes it is. And you can also buy a HD-DVD player add on.

Well according to that dudes list he liked for me all my games look compatable...according to the list anyway. But what is this emulation profile thing? Do you have to have Xbox live to download it and be able to make your old games work for the 360 or will they work as soon as you pop them in??? And man you'd think Microsoft would take care of this before they released their pricey system, i'm not 100% sure but i don't think Sony users will have to deal with this for the PS3....disconcerning, but i still think Microsoft is the better company to go with, so i'll figure this out and stick with them....could you guys answer those questions, thanks.
