Fable Message Board  

Got really far in the game with a ton of weapons and potions but when I took the quest to save my mother and sister I went to jail and lost everything, so I didnt save it and went back a few quests.. No biggie. But doesn anyone know how to get out of jail and keep all your possessions but still rescue your mom and sister?

if you'd just played the game this would have happened anyway. here's how you get out of prison:

win the race.

sneak past the guard to the bulletin board on the side (it's sparkling). watch the bar with his face next to it. if it gets near full, stop and wait for it to go back down.

activate the board. you get a message of what it says.

get back to the table with the locked diaries. you now have the combination for them. you'll get the prison key.

when you're returned to your cell, use the key to get out.

from here, gold markers show you where to go and what to do.

for the truly special, you'll find a stick in one of the cells. this is your weapon until you find your mother. she tells you not to let her out yet, to go find your equipment first. get into the barracks, which are near the start of the route you take for the races. you can find an entire guard uniform, a few tattoo cards, and, in a chest at the end of the long room, a bag that contains all of your missing belongings. guards show up once you get your stuff, so pause, get all your clothing on and weapons equipped, then fight your way back out.

in the last chamber before the path leading to the circle of the dead, there's a circular pool in the middle. this pool contains a kraken. defeat it and run out for a trophy and to complete the quest. your mother also gives you a power once you're back in the lychfield graveyard, similar to when your sister did it.
