i went to cheatcodes.com and got a whole bunch of codes and i pressed Ctrl-Shift-C and entered twinsr2cute but it keeps saying that the code is invalid

Hey! So I just started playing the sims 2 and I was trying to put in a cheat.After I pushed ctrl shift C I put in the motherload cheat and pressed enter and the space dropped down but it never gave me the money and I could not get the space to go away without exiting out of the game. Is there some trick to entering the cheats?

it's motherlode not motherload and to make the box go away type in exit
