I can't seem to exit the city, trying to use the west exit as directed by most quests, but if I'm at the correct exit the guards seem to be guarding it, infact all of them. So i guess I got to find the daughter.. but where is she? or more importantly how do i get out of the city??

you have to find the place that sells spellbooks and talk to the guy there, he will tell you to take a letter to lord davenmoor, and after speaking to davenmoor you should be able to leave the city.

Go to the mage Guild, which is near the Eastern Houses guild, lol were the moon bridge is. when u have talked to him he will give u a chance to be in his guild and a letter. take the letter to davenmor mannor.
(before all this u have to do celestial side quest thing in graveyard)
