hmm well i dont have the PAL version so no dark aeons for me ....ive killed every boss in the game and never got to see zanmoto...such a bummer lol

When I found Yojimbo, I was excited because he was a new Aeon, although a little pricy. Then I realized that I had to pay my own Aeon to attack!!!! I thought that it was a complete waste of my time and money and now I only use him when I desparately need him.

Yojimbo and the zanmato attack are total !
Whats the point, anyone can win like that, theres no challenge!
Anyone who relies on this attack is at this game!

I agree the attack is very cheap.
But I think you should have seen it just once, just to see it.
I found out a cheap(er) way of using Zanmato.
You start by paying Yojimbo 1 Gil. If you're very lucky he will do Zanmato(did it for me once), otherwise he'll probably use Wakisashi(with me he did anyway).
Then, on his next turn, you give him 100,000 Gil. In my game, he has done Zanmato like this nearly everytime I did this.
Pretty easy way of beating Penance.

It's also a pretty easy win if you summon him, he does Wakisashi for free, you pay him 1 Gil, he does 2 Wakisashi in a row, you pay him another 1 Gil and he does Zanmato, just 'cuz he felt like it :P
