Ok I can help. after you are finished with the console you need to type Exit then press enter that should help you. I was having the same problem. if you forget just type help and enter into the window and it will give common codes

dude you press Ctrl + Shift + C at the SAME time WITHOUT the +. Then look in the left hand corner of the screen. there should be a rectangle that is bluey backgrounded. click that and then type in your cheat. to repeat your cheats, type in a false code, like gyd and then push enter. a big box will come up. now once you hit enter, you don't have to reopen the box. now if none of this works, i cant help ya buddy, apart from looking upside down on the bottom of the box.

Sometimes the console is minamized at the side. Try typing the cheat codes in anyway and see if it works. Also mkae sure your pressing Ctrl Shift and c all at the same time.
