ok you fly from vermillion to fusha go in safari zone and leave right away then fly to viridian and talk to the old guy who teaches you how to use poke balls and say no then fly back vermillion put an item in the sixth item slot go up to the gym but dont enter surf up and down the shore stay as close as possible to shore (hes pretty easy to catch to it only took me three times with a regulare poke ball.

lol dont ahve to go to safari zone u only have to talk to the guy., and surf along the cinnibar island right side coast. and every game has a differnt pokemon that appears, iv e had kinglar, clefable, goldbat, abra, and haunter in past games all high levels

the thing that stinks is that if it grows one level, it goes back to level 100. so only use if you have to.

by the way, do you get different pokemon if your name is different?

The pokemon that you find depend on where you were last I've heard. I don't think your name has anything to do with it

No, your name has nothing to do with it. It's what kind of pokemon u faced last (eg if u faceda oddish last, ull find grass types.) also, u can put the pokemon up to lvl 256 before they return to lvl 100, but they keep the stats, but this only works with rare candy, and trust me, if u did with exp, i have faced the e4 13 times to get it to lvl up.
