Hello, I'm following the instructions by not launching through steam but through the new launcher and then waiting until i can walk around my ship to activate. I am getting a "hack detected" message, then the game closes. Is there an updated bypass or something that wasn't included in the instructions?

No, I made a video showing me using the exact trainer that is posted along with new Aurora.
You can try re-downloading the game, especially if you used a previous trainer version.
