Obviously Alt-Tab functionality is not easily accessible in the steam deck so how do people do switching back and forth from their game to Aurora?

In game or desktop mode? In game mode press the steam button, then in steam's game menu scroll down to the bottom. You'll see the window titles as menu options. Pressing one switches to the window.

Ok so I tried that, trainer is still stuck at foreground and also mouse input clicks isnt responding it seems (Im trying to choose "Steam" option via aurora)

Game probably needs to be in Windowed mode.

This exactly. If a game stays on the foreground then you need to change your game settings to windowed or borderless windowed.
